Our Doctrine Is Founded in the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith

The church doctrine of the GREATER WORKS Apostolic New Life Center in Inglewood, California, has its roots in the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith, which continues the great revival that began in Jerusalem, on the Day of Pentecost, AD 33. Our tenets of faith come directly from the apostles, prophets, and Jesus Christ himself as the chief cornerstone of our beliefs. (Acts 2:11-12) (Eph. 2:19-20)

The Cross

Our Aim

It is the aim of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith to glorify our savior, Jesus Christ, who alone gave his life upon the cross, that he might redeem us from all iniquity. The Lord Jesus desires that we should give praise, since it was he that called us out of darkness into the light of salvation. Our Lord requires that we be blameless and harmless in the midst of a crooked and perverse society.

Uplifting Those in Need

It is our Christian duty to raise the fallen, visit the sick, and strengthen the weak while encouraging the fainthearted and comforting the feebleminded. We should further seek to point the lost to the way of salvation and urge all believers to seek a spirit-filled life, (Eph. 5:18 and Acts 19:1-16) while preparing for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. (James 1:27; I Thess. 5:4; Mark 16:15-18; and Matt 25:1-13)

What We Believe

Our tenets of faith are simple and direct. Under the auspices of Pastor Forrest Alan Fykes, Sr., we embody the following ideas through word and deed:

• The Holy Bible Is the inspired Word of God
• In the Virgin Birth, Death, & Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ
• In the Necessity of Baptism through Water in Jesus' Name According to Acts 2:38
• In Filling of the Holy Ghost with the Evidence of Speaking with New Tongues According to Acts 2:4, which Constitutes as the New Birth                     Experience Spoken of by the Lord Jesus Christ in St. John 3:5
• In Living a Holy, Consecrated, & Sanctified Life
• In the Translation of the Saints, Commonly Known as the Rapture (I Thess. 4:13-17)
